Notes by Victoria Wynn:

Belize has a unique history because it is the only country in Central America that was colonized by the British, making English the official language

The use of English makes travel easy for Americans, as does the country's use of U.S. dollars, along with Belizean Dollars.

Belize is also known for its warm, welcoming feel and safe travel, even as a women traveling alone.

My personal travel tips are simple: Be smart, travel in the day and enjoy the small villages and its people rather than Belize City.

Don't flash money, be kind and gracious and though I've never had a problem wearing a nice necklace or a diamond ring, just like where I'm from (Los Angeles), I wouldn't be flashing jewelry and walking around at night there either.

In December of 2022, I got stuck in the mud on a dirt road surrounded by jungle. I counted 14 men who stopped to help pull me out. And within 30 minutes a construction company got me out with no charge.  I absolutely couldn't believe it.  That happened 6 minutes from Azure Shores Estates.

Belize can feel like both the Caribbean and Central America all at once – and you can experience it all in a single vacation as it's easy to cross the entire country in a one-day road trip. Still, it's better to do things the Belizean way: Relaxed.

(A simple day of washing horses in the Caribbean with your little brother. I took this photo 10 minutes away from Azure Shores Estates while eating ice cream along the beach. Life in Belize is simple, it's pure and it's joyful.)

Belize is most well-known for its natural wonders, including the world-renowned Great Blue Hole for scuba diving, diverse wildlife (see pic I took below!), vast jungles, stunning beaches, small islands, and stunning coral reefs.

However, the country also offers a rich culture and history, with ancient Maya ruins scattered throughout and experiences like Caribbean Garifuna drumming, Mayan chocolate making and jaw dropping wood crafts and talented artists in our villages.

(In Belize, their local fruits and syrups are used in their cocktails, non alcoholic beverages and smoothies)

I love to help the small businesses in Hopkins & Sittee River. One of the local coffee & smoothie shops named a drink after me. I was beyond flattered. Behold: The Victoria Mocha :D

(One of the countries largest and most notable gift shops and artisan markets is walking distance from Azure Shores Estates! My glowing bio luminescent ocean art is featured inside)

(The "Curve Bar & Restaurant" is located next to the marina 5 minutes from Azure Shores Estates. A cute and scaly croc swims around there looking oh so prehistoric!)

(Common transportation includes bikes, golf carts and other small motorized vehicles)

(Aerial view of the cove Azure Shores Estates sits in. Because of the unique topography, we are fortunate to have hurricanes head north or South but not in our cove.)

(The Colada Cabana where we'll enjoy collaborative meetings, great food and show you the beauty that is Belize and this unique Caribbean AND river front property, Azure Shores Estates.)
